My Dad gave me my first scope, a Tasco cheapie POS, when I was 6. And I caught the bug right then and there. At first, I was really into watching the Moon and Saturn and learned a good bit. During my teens my interest shifted more towards the apartment buildings across the way... Eventually I ditched the old toy telescope and the whole thing sort of fell in the back burner. Last year I revived enough of the interest to go and buy a halfway decent new one but this has just wetted my appetite for a gonzo big telescope of the marriage-busting sort. These, however, don't come cheap at all and require a large backyard and/or car to transport it to a remote field far away from the city lights. Presently, I've no money, no bakyard and no car that would fit it. So I'm patiently awaiting more auspicious times.
